Robin’s award winning script has been championed by the likes of Bill Harry and others that were actually there, and covers 1959-1962, when Liverpool bands like the Beatles were just starting to gain momentum, and the ‘mania’ was organic and unexpected.
His early 'Mersey Beat era' movie will cover a time when Sam Leach, Alan Williams and Ray McFall guided the Beatles and a dozen other bands. Sam Leach in particular expected to guide these bands to stardom, and become the next Col. Tom Parker. Unfort, he would lose everything while these bands became the biggest groups of all time.
Taking the Beatles to Aldershot (near London) would haunt him for 20 years until he got one more chance to redeem himself.
